The Lightning Thief Chapter 13

1. Why does Percy try to keep a low profile on the train?
    He keeps his profile low because Percy's name and picture is all over the place.

2. What new information does Annabeth tell us about her father in this chapter?

   That when she was born her father never wanted her. (he never even wanted a baby)
 
3. Annabeth says a couple of unexpected friends took care of her when she ran away from home. Any guesses who these might be? Why? 
    Grover and Luke, because when she first went there, they were like the only ones that were there that she could trust.
 
4. Why does Percy laugh when Annabeth tells him what she wants to be? 
    Gateway Ridge, she wants to build something like that, for the gods.
 
5. What magic item does Hades have? What are its powers?

  The helm of darkness. The powers that it has allows him to become darkness.  


6. Describe the Chimera.
   Chimera is a dog, Chihuahua with a rhinestoned collar, WAIT...  not Chihuahua,
her son. But... it was a dimondback, fire breathing, posiness, thing that looked like a lion
 
7. Echidna says Percy should feel honored to be killed by her. Why?
   Because Echidna was the mother of all monsters, so  Hades probably haven't ever, ever let her kill a Demi-God.





8. What is Percy’s “fatal mistake” while battling the Chimera?

    His "fatal mistake" was that he slashed the Chimera in the neck with the Riptide.  




9. Why does Percy decide he has no choice but to jump? What would you have done in his place?
 
    I would of jumped but, because if he isn't son of Poseidon then he would jump to prove his bloodline. Also because Chimera was coming FAST at him.

10. How would the battle have been different if there were no mortal spectators in the Arch? 

       I don't really think it would be any different, if their were spectators or not.
